Dr. Weihuan Zhao joined the Department of Natural Sciences at Northeastern State University (NSU) as an associate professor in Spring 2023. She is the Mechanical Engineering program chair.

Dr. Zhaos research interests focus on thermo-fluids sciences, including computational heat transfer and fluid dynamics, thermal management technologies, thermal energy storage, phase change materials, and high-temperature thermal-fluids experiment. The research applications cover building technologies, textile, solar energy storage, cooling technologies for electronics, etc.
