Committee: Financial Aid Appeals
Membership
Three faculty and three staff members (outside financial aid), three financial aid staff members, and two students appointed by the Northeastern Student Government Association. The Director of Student Financial Services will serve as chair and is a non-voting ex officio member and the Director of University Advising Center is a voting ex officio member.
Function
This committee recommends institutional policy relevant to the general operation of the university’s financial assistance programs and serves as an appeals board. This committee renders decisions regarding appeals for those financial aid recipients who fail to meet the university’s standards for satisfactory academic progress. This committee reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
Meetings
Twice a month during first month of semester and once a month thereafter. Minutes are sent to the Director of Student Financial Services and the Vice President for Student Affairs.
