How Refreshing: Students to Market NSU Bottled Water

Published: 2004-10-29

Northeastern students in Dr. Michael Landrys promotional strategy class are getting a taste of the real world as they work hand-in-hand with Love Bottling Company this semester. The students have been charged to run and manage an advertising campaign for companys newest product, NSU bottled water.

The students learn things that are not covered in the textbooks about real-world situations when we teach in a real-world environment, said Landry.

In order to achieve their goal of selling 10,000 cases in the month of November, NSU students have created a marketing agency that will be responsible for researching, implementing and evaluating an integrated marketing campaign. A portion of the profits from the sale of NSU bottled water will benefit the university.

This partnership between NSU faculty and students, and Love Bottling Co. is providing invaluable knowledge of the business world and contacts for the students involved.
