Vocalist Kate Campbell Brings Show To NSU

TAHLEQUAH Award-winning vocalist Kate Campbell takes the stage at the Northeastern State University Playhouse on Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.

The appearance, sponsored by the NSU College of Liberal Arts, is part of the tour to promote her 11th album, For the Living of These Days.

Originally from Sledge, Miss., Campbell is the daughter of the president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Inspired by the music of her Christian upbringing, Campbells albums are a mix of traditional folk with hints of gospel.

Campbell has performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals across the country, including the Cambridge Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival and Merlefest.
