Community Invited to Sign Up For NSU Tailgating

TAHLEQUAH Get your grills fired up for another great year of tailgating during the Northeastern State University 2007 football season.

Tailgaters are encouraged to sign up early to ensure a space during any of the home football games held at Doc Wadley Stadium. Tailgating begins four hours prior to kickoff, with all tailgate areas set up two hours prior to kickoff.

To reserve a designated spot for tailgating, call the NSU Student Activities Office at 444-2526. Reservations can be made for individual games or for the entire season. Space is limited. Tailgating activities are sponsored by the NSU Alumni Association and the Office of Student Affairs.

The NSU Cheerleaders and Band will also hold a brief pep rally at the tailgate festivities approximately 45 minutes prior to kickoff. The spirit stick will be awarded to the best tailgaters at each game. A grand prize will be awarded at the end of the season to the overall best tailgaters.

Lakes Country Radio KEOK 102.1 will broadcast live during tailgating events, and will broadcast NSU RiverHawks football games live.

The season starts on Thursday, Aug. 30 when NSU hosts Arkansas Tech at 7 p.m.
