This week, the Downtown Country cast began rehearsals for the Stars In Summer Series, which runs June 14 through August 4.

"We have pulled together a phenomenal cast for Downtown Country this season," said Kelli Doolen-Farmer, Downtown Country director. "With returning favorites and new additions to our line-up, this cast will wow audiences with powerhouse vocals and high-energy music."

The Downtown Country cast is rehearsing for two new shows this year, Chart Toppin Country and Celebrate Oklahoma. Chart Toppin Country brings to stage country musics greatest hits, while Celebrate Oklahoma features the music of Oklahoma to honor the states centennial.

"You don't have to travel all the way to Branson for high-quality, top notch entertainment", said Megan White, Director of The Sequoyah Institute. "We have some amazing talent and wonderful shows right here in Tahlequah."

Chart Toppin Country runs Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. at the University Playhouse. Celebrate Oklahoma runs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. at the University Playhouse.
