Published: 2007-03-28

TAHLEQUAH Not sure what to wear on that major job interview? Or maybe you think its OK to pick your teeth after dinner while still at the table.

Northeastern State Universitys Student Chapter of the American Marketing Association and The Fashion Association want to help you out. These two groups are hosting an event to educate students and area business people on proper dining etiquette and business attire.

The Etiquette Dinner and Business Fashion Show is set for Wednesday, April 10 from 6-8 p.m. in University Center Rozell Ballroom. Featured speaker Trisha Kerkstra, catering manager for Tulsa Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center, will discuss dinner etiquette.

Participants will practice their dining skills while receiving instruction on formal table settings, how to eat difficult foods, dining dos and don'ts, and many other table manners. The educational dinner will conclude with a brief business fashion show featuring live models and dress forms outfitted in appropriate business attire from area fashion retailers.

The NSU College of Business and Technology, the Student Chapter of the American Marketing Association, and The Fashion Association are sponsoring the event.

Tickets for the event are $19.50. For more information on the dinner and fashion show, or to purchase tickets contact Ron Petty at 918-444-3010 or Dr. Celia Stall-Meadows at 918-444-2971.
