Be Part of the NSU Green Out

TAHLEQUAH Get out your green Northeastern State University gear and get ready for a great season of football with the first Green Out.

NSU football fans are encouraged to wear green for the first RiverHawks game against Arkansas Tech on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. Green Out shirts are currently on sale in basement of the University Center for $5, and other NSU apparel is available at the NSU Bookstore.

The nights events will kick off with a season-opening tailgate contest in the parking lot at Doc Wadley Stadium. The competition for the seasons best tailgaters will begin at 3 p.m., when the gates open. The NSU Cheerleaders and Band will also hold a brief pep rally at the tailgate festivities approximately 45 minutes prior to kickoff.

Lakes Country Radio KEOK 102.1 will broadcast live during tailgating, and will broadcast the game live.

Prior to kickoff, the RiverHawks mascot and name will be unveiled before the anxious crowd.

At halftime, a RiverHawks fan will have a chance to win $10,000 during the Kick For Cash contest. All eligible participants must sign up prior to kickoff.
