TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University College of Liberal Arts, Department of Performing
Arts, and the NSU Theatre Company present "Nunsense" Feb. 15-17 and 22-24 at 8 p.m.
in the Shawnee Street Theatre.
The show, created by Dan Goggin, is a musical comedy about a cloister of nuns from
Hoboken who are putting on a variety-show fund-raiser in order to bury members of
their cloister accidentally poisoned by botulism.
Directed by NSU Theatre Company Coordinator Robyn Pursley, "Nunsense" features Redland
native and senior theatre major Kristi Parker as the Reverend Mother. She is joined
by sophomore theatre major Kira Abbot, of Seminole, as Sister Robert Anne; senior
theatre major Ashley Hammock, of Muskogee, as Sister Mary Leo; freshman theatre major
Holly Rongey, of Jenks, as Sister Mary Amnesia; and NSU theatre alumna Nichole Dickey,
of Tahlequah, as Sister Mary Hubert. These five women sing, dance, and tell jokes
in a rapid-fire style sure to have you splitting your sides.
They are joined by Tulsa-native and freshman theater major Kyle Leapline, senior theatre
major Kanae Kobayashi, of Nagano, Japan, and sophomore theatre major Natalie Morgan,
of Muldrow.
"This show is a great showcase of the talented actresses and musicians in the NSU
Theatre Company and Jazz Program," said Pursley. "There's none better."
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children and seniors. For
