NSU Students Hold Prayer Service

Published: 2007-04-20

TAHLEQUAH Northeastern State University students gathered outside the University Center on Friday, April 20 for a brief prayer service to support the students at Virginia Technical Institute and State University and in remembrance of the victims of the tragedy that occurred there earlier this week.

"The recent tragedy at Virginia Tech University causes each of us as individuals and as students, faculty and staff of our University to stop and reflect on the important and meaningful issues in our lives," said Laura Boren, dean of Student Affairs.

A Candle Light Vigil will be held on the Tahlequah campus in honor of the students at Virginia Tech on Monday, April 23 at 9:30 p.m.
