Saturday Game Packed With Events

TAHLEQUAH Join Northeastern State University for an afternoon of fun and an evening of football on Saturday, Sept. 22, as the RiverHawks take on West Texas A&M University.

Saturday is Elementary School Night at the football game. All students at elementary and middle schools in Cherokee County can get into the game for $1. The first 300 to arrive will get a free NSU Green Out T-shirt. Special invitations have also been sent to high school students in Locust Grove, Fort Gibson, Muskogee, Coweta, Stilwell and Haileyville to attend the game.

Tailgating opens at 3 p.m., with a pep rally set for 6 p.m. The NSU Marching Band will lead the crowd into the stadium for pre-game festivities. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

At halftime, participants will have the chance to kick a 50-yard field goal for a $10,000 prize. The contest is sponsored by Reasor's. Sign up for your chance during tailgating.
