Free Sound Effects Workshop Offered at Go Ye Village

TAHLEQUAH Discover the how to make thunder rumble, horses clip-clop and doors open and close at a free sound effects workshop hosted by Northeastern State University, the Sequoyah Institute and Cox Pharmacy.
The workshop, held in conjunction with Salvage Vanguard Theaters The Intergalactic Nemesis, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 in Go Ye Villages Richardson Hall.
The cast of The Intergalactic Nemesis will share the art of making sound effects for old time radio shows. The presentation consists of performing one episode of the series, followed by a detailed demonstration of how the sound effects were created. Then volunteers from the audience will have the chance to perform the sound effects when the episode is performed again.
The complete interstellar production will take the stage on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the NSU Center for the Performing Arts in Tahlequah. Tickets for The Intergalactic Nemesis are $20 for adults, $18 for NSU alumni, $16 for NSU employees, $14 for senior citizens, $10 for students and children, and $5 for NSU students.
