NSUBA to host enrollment event

Published: 2011-10-27

(Broken Arrow, OK) Northeastern State University will host Green & White Night, a one-stop-shop enrollment event from 5-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7, at its Broken Arrow campus, 3100 E. New Orleans. Prospective students, specifically working adults, are invited to learn more about the universitys convenient, affordable degree programs, support services and student-centered environment.

Green & White Night will allow attendees to apply for admission and financial aid, enroll, meet faculty, experience an online class, and take a tour. Those who attend will be entered to win door prizes, including tuition waivers and an Apple iPad. Attendees may come and go, and are encouraged to bring college transcripts.

Anyone interested in going back to school to finish a bachelors or masters degree, and anyone who wants to learn more about NSU-Broken Arrow should plan to attend, said Dr. Christee Jenlink, dean of the NSUBA campus. Our hope with this event is to make it as convenient as possible for current and prospective students to have access to all of our services in one place, in one night.

Green & White Night will include brief presentations about financial aid, online classes, the writing center, career services and more.

Our campus is growing, and many individuals in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow region have questions about the increasing education opportunities at NSUBA. Green & White Night is a great opportunity to meet our faculty and staff, and to learn more about our undergraduate, graduate, continuing education and adult degree completion programs, Jenlink said.

Representatives will be on hand throughout the evening to answer questions about the following:

  • Admission
  • Academic advisement and enrollment
  • Undergraduate and graduate degree programs
  • College of Extended Learning and continuing education
  • Financial aid
  • On-campus safety
  • Career services
  • Writing center
  • Blackboard (online classes)
  • Library
  • Bookstore
  • Tulsa Community College 2+2 transfer programs
  • Student services, including ADA and mental health support
  • Business affairs
  • Student organizations

Individuals with children are welcome to attend, as a reading center provided by NSUBAs Reading Clinic, will be available for ages 3 and up. There is no cost to attend; the event is open to current and prospective students, as well as members of the community.

Green & White Night will be held in the Ballroom, located in the Administrative Services building. For more information or to pre-register, contact Kris Rider at 918-449-6225. Driving directions can be found on the Broken Arrow Campus Map page.
