NSU to recognize fall graduates

(Tahlequah, Okla.)--Formal commencement ceremonies at Northeastern State University will be held Dec. 16-17 in the Jack Dobbins Field House on the Tahlequah campus.
Commencement is the capstone to an academic journey, said Jerrett Phillips, interim executive director of enrollment management. NSU is proud to honor all of our fall 2011 graduates during these ceremonies.
The College of Education will hold its commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m. Faculty speaker for the ceremony will be Dr. Kay Lallier Grant, dean of the College of Education.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, the College of Business and Technology and the College of Science and Health Professions will announce their graduates, followed by the College of Liberal Arts at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Denise Deason-Toyne, associate professor of business law, will speak at the 8:30 a.m. ceremony, while Dr. Amy Aldridge Sanford, assistant professor of communication studies, will speak at the 11:30 a.m. ceremony.
Family and friends wishing to attend the ceremonies must obtain tickets from the graduate. Students can pick up their allotted number of tickets the day of their graduation.
For non-ticket holders, ceremonies will be streamed live to the auditorium of the W. Roger Webb Educational Technology Center, located east of the field house.
