(Tahlequah, Okla.)The Board of Regents of the Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO) will interview six candidates in its search for the next Northeastern State University president. Candidates will be interviewed on Sept. 29 and Oct. 10 in Oklahoma City.
A 17-member presidential search advisory committee, consisting of NSU faculty, staff, a student representative, and members of the community, reviewed all of the applications submitted and recommended to the Regents candidates to be interviewed.
On behalf of the Regents, I would like to express my appreciation to the advisory committee for their valuable assistance, said Regent Michael W. Mitchel, chair of the RUSO Board of Regents.
The RUSO board began a presidential search on June 2, after then-NSU president Dr. Don Betz was selected as the president of the University of Central Oklahoma, which also is governed by the RUSO Board.
