Safety Alert: Armed suspects near Tahlequah campus

Oct. 6, 2011 10:14 a.m. - Armed suspects not on campus; campus open

The NSU Police Department has issued a safety warning to the Tahlequah campus community. The suspects have not been located, police continue to search the area. The suspects were not on campus, and Tahlequah Police are still investigating. The University is open and classes are continuing as scheduled. Carry on with your normal business but remain alert. Do not confront suspects. Call 911 only if you have information or an emergency. Tune to the NSU website for updates.

Oct. 6, 2011 9:21 a.m. - Armed suspects near Tahlequah campus; El Zarape restaurant area

The NSU Police Department has issued a safety warning to the Tahlequah campus community. Police are asking for your help in identifying an armed suspect. A white male with red hair wearing a blue T-shirt accompanied by a black male possibly armed with a handgun was last seen in the area of Ward and Cedar in Tahlequah. Do not confront suspects. Call 911 only if you have information or an emergency. Campus is open.
