Published: 2006-10-06

TAHLEQUAH - Grab your green and white gear and head out to Northeastern State University's annual Homecoming Street Party and Pep Rally from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12.

Join NSU students, alumni, faculty, staff, and members of the community on Muskogee Avenue for the Traditional Chili Cook-Off, inflatable games, music, food, and more. Free beverages will be provided.

"Everyone is invited to help us celebrate our annual Homecoming festivities," said NSU President Larry Williams. "Catch up with old friends and meet some new ones as we all come together and cheer our teams."

Meet the NSU football and soccer teams and coaches at the Pep Rally, set for 6:45 p.m., and watch as the NSU Marching Band, Cheerleaders, Majestics, and Rowdy perform for the crowd. Candidates for NSU Homecoming King and Queen will be introduced during the rally.

The Residence Hall Association will provide old-fashioned hay wagon rides from the dorms to the street party and back.

Local merchants will remain open late to provide revelers the opportunity to shop downtown Tahlequah.
