NSU Alumni Association kicks off A2A program

Published: 2012-01-30

Alumni of Northeastern State University who maintain their connection to the institution through the Alumni Association will receive additional benefits through the Alumni 2 Alumni (A2A) program.

Association members will receive coupons, and membership cards which entitle presenters to discounts at establishments owned by participating NSU alumni.

Daniel Johnson, director of alumni services, said A2A benefits all participating.

It is a win-win-win effort," he said. "Our members will receive additional benefits and these business owners receive additional exposure, and were able to further promote their connection with NSU.

Alumni and the featured benefits at their establishments include:

  • Fine Airport Parking, founded by 1970 graduate Mike Fine, is offering a 10 percent discount on all services at its Tulsa airport parking facility.
  • Reasor's, founded by alumnus the late Larry Reasor, is offering coupons good for a $7 discount on purchases over $50 at area Reasor's Foods.
  • Mazzios Corporation, founded by 1959 graduate Ken Selby, is supplying free drink coupons for use at any Mazzios Italian Eatery.
  • Wolfgang Puck Bistro and Full Moon Cafe, both owned by former student (1988-1990) Tony Henry is extending a 10 percent discount on food services at these Tulsa restaurants.

Coupons for Reasor's and Mazzios are included with the membership packet received annually by members. Offers from Fine and the restaurants are ongoing discounts which may be redeemed by presenting an NSU Alumni Association membership card at the time of purchase.

We are excited to partner with these alumni who are able to offer services and benefits that will have great appeal to our Alumni Association members," Johnson said. "Their support of this program really enhances the suite of benefits our annual and life members receive.

Johnson added that the A2A program is just beginning and the Alumni Association is eager to see it grow.

Wed love to collaborate with other alumni who, as business owners, want to feature their businesses and extend special offers on products or services to their fellow alumni, he said. "Whether they are operating establishments in Tahlequah, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Muskogee or even online, if its something that appeals to consumers then there is probably a place for it in the A2A program.
