Marketing Workshop Set At NSUBA

TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University College of Business and Technology, NSU Entrepreneurship Institute and Oklahoma Small Business Development Center are sponsoring a business workshop on Monday, Nov. 20, from 6-8 p.m. at NSU Broken Arrow Building G, room 112.

Dr. Michael Landry, association professor of marketing at NSU, will present the workshop "Effective Marketing and Promotional Strategies." Landry has been a writer and producer of television and radio commercials, a media sales representative, and a print and broadcast journalist.

"Marketing is more than sales and advertising," said Dr. Ben Ofili, director of the NSU Entrepreneurship Institute. "For your business, marketing should be a way of life. This workshop will help you think of your business from a marketing standpoint."

The workshop will cover topics including Branding Your Product, Building Competitive Advantage, Managing the Sales and Marketing Function, Developing a Relationship Marketing, Improving Customer Service, Advertising, Public Relations, and Increasing Sales and Market Share.

The workshop is free for NSU students and $25 for the public. Limited seating is available.
