NSU Master Plan forums scheduled

Published: 2012-10-02

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- To acquaint local communities with Northeastern State University's vision of its future, the public is invited to open forums discussing the institution's Master Plan in Tahlequah and Broken Arrow.

The Master Plan is NSU's strategy for building the physical resources to support the university's mission and vision. Topics of discussion will include contract approval, construction schedules, data collection and online outreach.

From Oct. 8-10, the NSU campuses will be visited by SmithGroup Behavioral Consulting LLC, Dewberry architectural and engineering consultants and Paulien & Associates, Inc. planning consultants. They will participate in the forums.

"The consultants leading our efforts to develop a university wide Master Plan will work with key leadership groups throughout their visits," said Tim Foutch, NSU vice president for operations. "We anticipate a productive time of interaction, idea sharing and vision and we seek the public's input."

The main campus forum is Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 N. Water St. For more information call the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce at 918-456-3742.

An additional meeting for students, faculty and staff is Oct. 9 at 3:30 p.m. in section A of the UC Sen. Herb Rozell Ballroom.

The open house for the Broken Arrow campus and community is in the annex of Administrative Services on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m.

For more information about the public Master Plan forums call Tim Foutch's office at 918-444-2040.
