TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Northeastern State University is committed to developing initiatives to support diversity. These efforts were acknowledged at the inaugural Economic Inclusion Forum hosted by Mosaic, the Tulsa Regional Chambers diversity business council. Mosaic named NSU as one of the top 20 organizations with an inclusive workplace culture in the region. The forum was held at The Campbell Hotel and Event Center in Tulsa, Okla. in late October. Dr. Eloy A. Chavez, Dean of the College of Extended Learning accepted the award on behalf of NSU.

Businesses honored with the title have gone above and beyond to support diversity. The most inclusive workplace environments were selected based on recipients survey responses to five key factors: CEO commitment, supplier diversity, internal policies, diverse people and public outreach and awareness.

NSU is very proud to receive this benchmark diversity award, said Chavez. We work to promote best practices of inclusiveness through each aspect of our mission to be the changefrom programming and outreach efforts to day-to-day activitiesthis award is a true testament.
