Broken Arrow art educators exhibit personal talent at NSUBA

Published: 2014-11-05

(Broken Arrow, Okla.) Beginning November 5, the art exhibit, BAPS Art Educators Show will be on display at the Northeastern State University Broken Arrow campus.

The exhibit will be available to view in the Visitors Center Gallery of the Administrative Services building from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open to the public. Art will be available to view until January 6.

The exhibit at NSUBA will feature personal work from Broken Arrow teachers. The show will include drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures and ceramics.

Art teachers were artists before they became teachers, said Katie Pernu, an art teacher at Childers Middle School. Some of us who love to create art, also realize that we love to share that process with others, teaching them how to do the things we enjoy. This show highlights the fact that Art Teachers, continue on as Artists as well.
