NSUBA offers Biology and Chemistry Seminar Series

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- Northeastern State Universitys College of Science and Health Professions is rolling out its Spring 2014 Biology and Chemistry Seminar Series. This series will include speakers with topics of interest in four different areas of study.

Jan. 31: Genes and Gene Arrangements in Baboon Cytomegalovirus, presented by Dr. Earl L. Blewett, Associate Professor of Microbiology at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. The faculty host is Dr. Erik Terdal, Associate Professor of Biology at NSUBA.

Feb. 28: Cell Cycle Control of Cancer Cell Metabolism, presented by Dr. Robert Sheaff, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Tulsa. The faculty host is Dr. Sapna Das Bradoo, Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology at NSUBA.

March 28: Calcium as a Trigger of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Virulence, presented by Dr. Marianna A. Patrauchan, Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Oklahoma State University. The faculty host is Dr. Ratnakar Deole, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at NSUBA.

April 25:Abiotic Stress Adaptations and Their Uses in Oscallatoria limnetica, presented by Dr. Ratnakar Deole, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at NSUBA. The faculty host is Dr. Sapna Das Bradoo, Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology at NSUBA.

There is no charge to attend the seminar series and they are open to all who wish to attend. Complimentary cookies and coffee will be provided for all guests in attendance. The Biology and Chemistry Seminar Series is arranged by Dr. Sapna Das Bradoo, Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology.

Each lecture will be one hour long and will be at 10 a.m. at the NSU-Broken Arrow campus in the Liberal Arts Building, room 112, 3100 E. New Orleans, Broken Arrow, Okla. 74014.
