TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- As of May 1, Northeastern State University students faculty and
staff will see big improvements in the way the institution handles online payments
and the dispensing of refunds and financial aid.
Beginning May 1, 2014 those functions will be shepherded by TouchNet, a commerce management company specializing in serving higher education. The goal is to simplify the bursar process for both employees and students. This change is being made, in part, in response to requests from the NSU Student Government Association.
NSUs Office of Bursar Services is urging users of their services to update their profile settings with their own personal bank account information so that by July 1, individual accounts will be ready to receive refunds. This means students will have access to their money faster and with fewer steps since the NSU GreenCard will also be eliminated. Additionally, billing statements and payment histories will be easier to understand, the account owner will be able to manage access for others to their payment and billing information and changing refund preferences will be quick and easy.
The transition to TouchNet begins May 1, 2014. Users can start updating their account information in the new system on that day.
