About 90 percent of NSUs first-time, full-time freshmen receive some sort of aid. Tickets are $150 each, limit two per person. Doors open at 7 p.m. in the Sen. Herb Rozell Ballroom of the University Center. All proceeds from the event go toward supporting student scholarships.

As an extra treat, NSU President Steve Turner has made it possible for all current NSU students to have an opportunity to attend the performance free. 130 tickets have been reserved for a drawing to be held Oct. 13.

Outstanding Alumni. Selected by the NSU Alumni Association Board of Directors, this years Distinguished Alumnus and Outstanding Young Alumnus honorees join a special group of NSU alumni who, through personal achievement and service, have brought honor and distinction to both themselves and the University. Those honored in 2014 include Distinguished Alumni Dr. William Bill Pierce 76, President of Baptist Village Communities, and Will Thomas 97, award-winning author; as well as Outstanding Young Alumna Sarah Vann 02, Milken Educator Award winner.
