Three NSU Fishing Teams Compete in the FLW

Three teams from Northeastern State Universitys Bass Fishing Team competed in the Fishing League Worldwide College Fishing Tournament on Grand Lake in Grove, Okla. onSaturday, June 21.

The three teams consisted of Lane Kindle and Conner Schwab, Dylan Duncan and Kyrston Dozier, and Donald Hart and RJ Wofford. The teams placed second, seventh and sixteenth, respectively, out of 36 teams from all around the Southern Conference.

Kindle and Schwab placed second with five fish for a total weight of 14 pounds and 6 ounces and won $1,000. Duncan and Dozier placed seventh with five fish for a total weight of 11 pounds and 6 ounces. Hart and Wofford placed sixteenth with three fish for a total weight of 7 pounds and 3 ounces.

The top 15 teams advance to the regional tournament in Texas. This tournament will be held onOct. 25 26and the top 10 will advance to the National Championships.
