The Galaxy of Stars Series is part of Northeastern State Universitys Sequoyah Institute. Each year the performances selected are chosen to expose the Northeastern community to not only the entertainment provided by fine arts, but also the education associated with it.
The series promotes experience and understating of cultural enrichment beyond that found in the classroom and those who attend are able to actively or passively participate through the national and international artists performances.
The 2014 2015 season of Galaxy of Stars Series has a little bit of something for everyone.

There are educational outreaches accompanied by each of the performances, to allow for those who are interested to delve a little deeper. Beyond the Stage outreach events offer educational workshops, master classes and lectures. Learning LIVE outreach events offer daytime performances to area schools with accompanying curriculum guide resources to be used in the classroom.
The educational outreaches for kids in the community are my favorite part of the series, Anita Thompson, Director of Sequoyah Institute said. "The students are exposed to so many different genres of performances. Its not every day that students their age get to see a professional ballet company right here in Tahlequah. These performances may spark interest in students, that they might not have had if not exposed to the arts. Thats the most exciting part for me.
Each of these shows will be performed at7:30 p.m. on their respective dates in the NSU Center for the Performing Arts. Season tickets will go on saleAugust 18and individual tickets go on sale September 1.
