Tulsa Ballet II to perform as part of NSU Galaxy of Stars season

(Tahlequah, Okla.)--Tulsa Ballet II is the official pre-professional ensemble of the Tulsa Ballet Theatre as well as the second performance of Northeastern State Universitys Sequoyah Institutes Galaxy of Stars Season. Tulsa Ballet II will take the stage of the NSU Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Through a national audition, the most talented and committed young men and women are invited to refine their artistic and technical skills by working with the professional Tulsa Ballet company. This group was designed to provide a bridge between the student phase of an aspiring classical ballet dancer and the professional career.
Tulsa Ballet IIs triple bill performance showcases Tulsa Ballets diverse repertoire, reflecting both Tulsa Ballets history as well as Artistic Director Marcello Angelinis vision of and commitment to creating and performing new ballets by some of todays most sought after, cutting edge choreographers. Tulsa Ballet II combines the best of classical and contemporary ballet in one exciting program.
Go Beyond the Stage with Learning LIVE, a matinee performance for area schools. The Learning LIVE outreach events offer daytime performances to area schools with accompanying curriculum guide resources to be used in the classroom.

As a part of NSUs Sequoyah Institute, the Galaxy of Stars Series fosters cultural enrichment beyond the classroom, and promotes the experience and understanding of the fine arts through the presentation of national and international performing artists to students and the community. Beyond entertainment, educational outreach events accompany each of the series and lectures. The Galaxy of Stars Series is a vital part of the educational experience offered at NSU.
