Galaxy of Stars presents "At Last" Feb. 27

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Imagine a 1940s jazz club with the voices of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Rosemary Clooney, and others. Jaimee Paul and her jazz combo, led by husband Leif Shires on trumpet, deliver just that. At Last, the penultimate show of this years Galaxy of the Stars Series can be seen Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the NSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Paul, whose musical influence has always been gospel and blues, cultivated a special place in her heart for jazz. She masterfully delivers a one of a kind performance that stands up to the originals with respectful attention to the great artists that paved the way for her. Her talents can be seen even further on her latest album Bonded, which features her version of several of the James Bond theme songs.

Paul has had the unique privilege of performing for audiences throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan. Some attendees have included prime ministers, congressmen, military leaders and ambassadors. Music enthusiasts have been touched and inspired by her incredible talent.
