Northeastern State University lights up Seminary Hall

Published: 2014-12-01

(Tahlequah, Okla.)--Northeastern State University will soon be filled with holiday cheer as the annual lighting of historic Seminary Hall approaches. Lights on Seminary Hall will take place on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. directly in front of the main entrance of Seminary Hall. Once again, Tahlequah City Mayor Jason Nichols and NSUs First Lady Penny Turner will host the spectacular event.

This year, there will be special performances by The River City Players, the Tahlequah High School Show Choir, Encore! Performing Society and the Tahlequah Elementary Schools. NSU President Steve Turner and other special guests will be in attendance.

Immediately following the performances, children will be invited to visit Santas Workshop just inside of Seminary Hall and have their photograph taken with Santa Claus. All of the good little boys and girls will also get to choose a small gift from Santas toy chest as well as receiving their very own commemorative ornament.

This event is produced by Northeasterns College of Liberal Arts and the NSU Theatre Company, with additional support from the Presidents Office. Please note that a limited number of Polaroid photographs will be available, so parents are certainly invited to bring their own camera to take pictures.
