NSU Foundation announces upcoming scholarship deadlines

(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- The Northeastern State University Foundation is now accepting applications for two soon-to-be-awarded scholarships.

Johnson Foundation Entrepreneur/Business Scholarship

This scholarship is open to full-time students of American Indian descent, who have either declared a major in Entrepreneurship or Business OR if not eligible to declare a major, have submitted a letter of intent to the College of Business & Technology. Students must be willing to join and participate in the American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL) student organization. Please attach the following: copy of CDIB card, evidence of a 2.5 GPA and a declared major in Entrepreneurship or Business.

Awards are $1250 per semester, renewable based on academic performance, participation in AIBL, and continuing in an entrepreneurship/business discipline. Individuals must re-apply even if they have been awarded the scholarship in the past. Applications should be returned to the Deans office for NSU College of Business & Technology. Deadline: September 26, 2014

Georgia Pacific Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students majoring in disciplines related to computer science, information systems, technology, accounting and/or engineering, preference may be for financial need. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and an essay is required.Individuals should attach a full, one-page essay, (in Microsoft WORD) explaining why they should receive this scholarship. Describe any extra-curricular activities including university, non-university, and community service. Please use 12-point font size, 1.5 line spacing, and standard 1-inch margins around the page. Deadline: October 24, 2014
