Reach-Higher, an initiative of First Lady Michelle Obama, calls for regaining the United States No. 1 standing in terms of the number of college graduates by the year 2020. She has targeted the training and expertise of school counselors to assist in reaching this goal. This convening followed a meeting held at Harvard University this summer. According to Oklahoma team, the convening in San Diego was refreshing in the sense of urgency and spirit of collaboration to improve the training of school counselors in this important work.
