NSU Spring 2015 Science & Technology Series continues

(Tahlequah, Okla.)--The Northeastern State University Spring 2015 Science & Technology Series continues Feb. 11 with special guest speaker Robert Pickering from the Gilcrease Museum and University of Tulsa. Pickering will present his lecture titled, Analyzing Ancient West Mexican Ceramic Figures.

The seminar is in the Science building, Room 160 at 3 p.m. at NSU Tahlequah.

Coordinated by Dr. John de Banzie, biology professor from NSUs College of Science & Health Professions, the series is designed to expose students to different types of research being done by other scientists in the area.

The spring 2015 series began Jan. 28 with special guest speaker Maryline Bossis, Department of Biological Serives, University of Arkansas.

There is no charge for the seminars and they are open to all who wish to attend, de Banzie said. The only requirement is curiosity. If anyone has questions, they are welcome to contact me.

March 11. Vegetation Approaches to Wetland Quality Assessment - Suneeti Jog, Department of Natural Sciences, Northeastern State University

March 25. Novel Bioactive Peptides Based on the Neutrophil-derived Protein, CAP37, Anne Pereira Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
