(Tahlequah, Oklahoma)--The Northeastern State University College of Business & Technology was recently named among the Most Affordable Business Schools 2016 by College Choice, a leading authority in college and university rankings and resources. NSU is ranked number 29 of the 30 schools that made the list.
Dr. Roger Collier, dean of the College of Business & Technology, said that everyone within the college is pleased to have been recognized.
Providing an affordable education to our students is important, especially since it will allow them to graduate without the large amounts of student debt that we see elsewhere in the U.S, Collier said.
Collier said that while it is important to be affordable, College Choice also looked into other factors.
The Most Affordable Business Schools 2016 ranking was created by collecting data on individual school programs, academic reputation, student retention, special accreditation by business associations, gainful employment statistics and tuition costs. This information was gathered from program websites for each school, business school accreditation sites and independent statistical sites, such as the National Center for Education Statistics.
Being on this list is an indication that we are providing an excellent education to our students at a reasonable cost. I think that the college's faculty and staff can be proud of the job we're doing and of the recognition we've received, Collier said.
NSUs College of Business & Technology is a student-centered college with faculty members who strive for high levels of classroom performance and work hard to advance knowledge in their disciplines. Its students graduate with high-quality degrees and professional expertise that put them in demand with area employers.
The College of Business & Technology offers 13 undergraduate programs and four graduate programs with classes offered at both the Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campuses using traditional, blended and online delivery methods. NSU and the College of Business & Technology are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
Collier explained that the College of Business & Technologys vision statement states that the program will be the college of choice for students and employers in the region.
To achieve our vision, the faculty and staff of the College of Business & Technology are working hard to make sure that the majors we offer are up-to-date and relevant for our students. Further, we are updating and refurnishing our classrooms and labs in order to provide the best facilities we can.
Collier believes that by including the college in this ranking, College Choice is proving that NSUs College of Business & Technology is well on its way to making this vision a reality.
