NSU presents the fall 2016 Science & Technology Seminar Series

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma)--The fall 2016 Science & Technology Seminar Series at the Northeastern State University Tahlequah campus begins Sept. 7.

Presented by the NSU College of Science & Health Professions and arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, professor of biology, the series includes speakers with topics of interest in six different areas of study.

Sept. 7- Chlamydia trachomatis Exit from Host Cells presented by Dr. Erika Lutter, representing the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Oklahoma State University.

Sept. 21- Using Radar to Understand Bird Migration presented by Jeff Kelly, representing the Oklahoma Biological Survey, University of Oklahoma.

Oct. 5- A Promising Countermeasure for Reducing Drunk Driving: Ignition Interlock License Restrictions - Results of Three Randomized Controlled Trials presented by William Rauch, representing the Center for Studies on Alcohol, Rockville, Maryland.

Oct. 19- BlueInGreen: A Case Study of Faculty Entrepreneurship presented by Dr. Scott Osborn representing the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, University of Arkansas.

Nov. 2- Why are We All Different? Connecting Gene Expression Variation to Organismal Traits in Yeast presented by Dr. Jeffrey Lewis representing the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Arkansas.

Nov. 16- A Quantitative Proteomics Approach to Understand the Regulation of Flagellar Assembly presented by Dr. Nedra Wilson representing Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences.

There is no charge to attend the seminar and the series and events are open to all who wish to attend.

Each one -hour lecture begins at 3 p.m. at the NSU Tahlequah campus in the Science Building, Room 160.
