NSU-BA presents the fall 2017 Biology and Chemistry Seminar

(Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) -- The Northeastern State University Broken Arrow campus will begin its fall 2017 Biology and Chemistry Seminar Series Sept. 22.
Presented by the NSU Greg Wadley College of Science & Health Professions and arranged by Dr. Sapna Das-Bradoo, associate professor of molecular biology, the series includes speakers with topics of interest in three areas of study.
Sept. 22- Foodborne pathogens in retail liver: From detection to genomics presented by Dr. Mohamed Fakhr, representing the University of Tulsa. This session will be hosted by Das-Bradoo.
Oct. 27- The chemistry of coffee presented by Dr. Ronald Halterman, representing the University of Oklahoma. This session will be hosted by NSU faculty member, Dr. Nathan Green.
Dec. 1- Ulcerative colitis: can we target glutaminase to reduce visceral pain? presented by Dr. Subhas Das, representing Oklahoma State University- Center for Health Sciences. This session will be hosted by Das-Bradoo.
There is no charge to attend the seminar, and the series is open to all who wish to attend. Complimentary cookies and coffee will be provided for guests.
Each one-hour lecture begins at 10 a.m. at the NSU-Broken Arrow campus in the Administrative Services Building, Room 141 (Auditorium), 3100 E. New Orleans, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 74014.
