NSU Libraries celebrate Earth Day
Published: 2017-04-18
Northeastern State Universitys Libraries Earth Day & Sustainability Committee celebrate Earth Day with a week of activities April 17-21. The theme this year is Lets Green Up! and the mission is to become more vigilant of the role each person plays toward sustaining the Earth. Individuals from the NSU community will present and share their knowledge, stories and contributions.
Running throughout the week, each campus library will have a Lets Green Up! display of resources available for check-out that are related to Earth Day, sustainability and conservation of natural resources.
Each location will offer two pledge opportunities. Participants will be able to pledge to recycle and to conserve energy and water. Educational handouts on recycling and conservation will be available to pledge participants.
Throughout the week, the library will host a drawing for the book Cloud Seeder. A winner for each campus library will be drawn on Friday at 4 p.m.
