NSU to host regional history day competition – April 3

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- Northeastern State University will host the Region 6 National History Day competition for students in sixth through 12th grade on April 3.

During the competition, students will compete in five categories: papers, exhibits, performances, websites and documentaries. Students are judged on historical content, presentation and adherence to the theme. The theme of this years contest is taking a stand in history.

The top three winners in each category will qualify to compete in the Oklahoma National History Day competition in Oklahoma City May 4-5. The state winners will qualify for the National History Day competition in College Park, Maryland, June 10-14.

This regional competition provides local high school students with the opportunity to visit NSU to see what college might be like.
