NSU Jazz Lab to host guest musical artist Jake Hertzog Trio

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- The Northeastern State University Music Department will welcome guest artist, the Jake Hertzog Trio, March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Jazz Lab.

Jake Hertzog is the University of Arkansas jazz guitar professor. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. Hertzog has enjoyed an international performance career in Europe and Asia. Hes the grand prize winner of the Montreux Jazz Competition.

The trio includes Hertzog, Harvie S and Victor Jones. The jazz/rock group has released five albums to wide acclaim and radio success. Theyve headlined venues such as The Blue Note in New York and Salo Jazz Festival in Finland.

The performance is open to the public. Tickets are $5 for general admission and free for NSU students with a valid student ID. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 918-444-4603 or at the Jazz Lab the night of the event.
