NSU Commencement to be Dec. 16

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- Students will take to the stage Dec. 16 as Northeastern State University holds fall 2017 Commencement ceremonies in the NSU Event Center on the Tahlequah campus.

The College of Business & Technology and College of Liberal Arts ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the College of Education and Gregg Wadley College of Science & Health Professions ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Deputy Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation Joe Crittenden will be a guest speaker during the morning commencement ceremony and Chief of Patient Recruitment for the National Institute of Healths National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Commander Julie Erb-Alvarez will be a guest speaker during the afternoon commencement ceremony. Both Crittenden and Erb-Alvarez were honored as the NSU Alumni Associations Distinguished Alumni in 2017.

NSU will be live streaming the commencement ceremonies so relatives and friends who are unable to attend can still be involved. Commencement videos will also be available the week after the ceremonies.
