NSU 2017 homecoming set for Sept. 29-30

Published: 2017-08-03

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- Northeastern State University alumni are invited back to campus for a weekend of fun and reminiscing during the 2017 homecoming celebration Sept. 29-30.

"There's something for everyone throughout homecoming weekend, said Director of Alumni Relations Daniel Johnson. It's always such a festive time and will be made more so as the NSU community gets wrapped up in this year's 'Come Home to Paradise' theme."

This years homecoming will include favorite annual events including the Green & White Golf Classic; Brunch, Brushes & Bubbles; the homecoming parade; the 20th annual Emerald Ball; the Champions Breakfast; Friday Night Flashback and the Alumni Association Honors Dinner. The homecoming football game will be against Missouri Western State University at 2 p.m.

New in 2017, all members of the community are invited to a pancake breakfast at Second Century Square on Saturday morning before and during the parade.

Homecoming is the most exciting time to return to NSU, said Alumni Association President Andrea Tucker. Its a time to reconnect with friends, to see the growth and expansion at NSU and to rekindle that special feeling of where we all began our journey.

Whether we visit with the same friends we attended NSU with, or make new connections with other alumni we meet, were all part of the Green & White Network, and homecoming is just like an action packed, fun-filled family reunion.

The Alumni Association produces the homecoming weekend events in partnership with corporate sponsors BancFirst, Cherokee Nation, Liberty Mutual, One Degree Lawn Care & Landscaping, and The Spider Gallery.
