NSU presents spring 2017 Science & Technology Seminar

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- The spring 2017 Science & Technology Seminar Series at the Northeastern State University Tahlequah campus is set to begin Feb. 1.
Presented by the NSU College of Science and Health Professions and arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, professor of biology, the series includes speakers with topics of interest in six areas of study.
Feb. 1- Chlamydia trachomatis Exit from Host Cells presented by Dr. Erika Lutter, representing the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Oklahoma State University.
Feb. 15- The Role of RNA Structure in RNA Editing in Trypanosomes presented by Dr. Blaine Mooers, representing the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
March 1- Controls on Carbon Dioxide Dynamics in Karst: The Answer is Blowin in the Wind presented by Dr. Matt Covington, representing the Department of Geosciences, University of Arkansas.
March 22- Crisis Communication and Resource Management presented by Dr. Darrell Townsend representing the Ecosystems and Lake Management, Grand River Dam Authority.
April 5- DNA-Mediated Nanoscale Architecture presented by Dr. Nathan Green representing the Department of Natural Sciences, Northeastern State University.
April 19- The Maiasaura Life History Project: Using Fossil Bone Histology in Infer Growth Dynamics of the Good Mother Dinosaur presented by Dr. Holly Woodward Ballard representing the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences.
There is no charge to attend the seminar and the series, and events are open to all who wish to attend.
Each one-hour lecture begins at 3 p.m. at the NSU Tahlequah campus in the Science Building, Room 160.
