NSU offers a variety of summer youth camps

Northeastern State University is accepting applications for several educational and fun youth summer camps on the Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campuses. Continuing Education, the Athletics Department and the Get Green for Blue Academy will all host camps during the summer months.
Continuing Education Academies.
NSUs Continuing Education Department is currently accepting registration for its youth summer academies. Academies are held on the Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campuses and will begin in June with programs available for children ages four and older.
Academies of all sorts are available including the Criminal Justice Summer Youth Academy, Robots: A Science of Movie Series, MineCraft, Rube Goldberg, Fantastic Mechanical Beasts, Wacky Science, VEX VRC Robotics, Cars: A Science of Movie Series, Advanced MineCraft, VEX IQ Robotics and Secret Agent Robotics.
Camp registration for the Criminal Justice Summer Youth Academy is $75 and all other academies are $160. The registration fee covers lunch, supplies and a T-shirt.
Get Green for Blue.
The Summer Academy program Get Green for Blue: Outdoor STEM Investigations Connecting Water to You kicks off on June 5 for five days of non-stop adventure, as eighth, ninth and 10th graders take their science skills outdoors and get their hands dirty.
The Get Green for Blue Academy will convene on the Northeastern State University Broken Arrow campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Lunch will be provided, and there is no cost for participation thanks to grants by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, NSU and the Rogers County Conservation District outdoor classroom.
Athletic Camps.
The Clay Davis @ NSU Elite Softball Camp & Showcase will be held June 13 and July 18. Instructed by Coach Clay Davis, assistant coaches and current RiverHawks players, the showcase is designed to provide skills, drills and instruction at a highly competitive level for grades seven through 12. The camp fee is $100. There will also be a be a camp for ages six through 13 held from June 19 through 21. The fee for this camp is $75.
Chase Wootens Soccer Camps and Rob Czlonkas Soccer Camps will be available for ages five and up beginning May 30. The camps will combine experiences from NSU womens soccer head coach Wooten and NSU mens soccer head coach Czlonka to give an all-around soccer experience. These camps are designed to capture the core fundamentals of soccer through fun activities. Half-day camp registration is $55 and includes a T-shirt; full-day registration is $125 and includes lunch and a T-shirt.
The 2017 Rob Robinson Football Camps will offer high school, junior high and elementary football instruction. Training in fundamentals, skill enhancement and testing will be conducted by the 2017 NSU coaching staff. The registration fee is $50 for one participant and includes a T-shirt or $90 for two participants.
Jake Hendricks Baseball Camps will be offered for high school seniors, grades nine to 12 and ages seven to 13. Cost varies from $20 to $80. Participants will learn baseball fundamentals, play in a live game and focus on skills like hitting, fielding, throwing, catching and pitching.
