(Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) -- Northeastern State University Career Services will host its spring 2018 Teacher Job Fair on April 17. The fair will be located on the Broken Arrow campus on the second floor of the Administrative Services Building in the Banquet Hall beginning at 10 a.m.
The Teacher Job Fair is a networking event that allows participants to visit with school district administrators and recruiters to discuss employment opportunities and application processes. Graduate schools will also be available to share entrance requirements.
We expect to have 60 employers at the spring Teacher Job Fair, Career Events Specialist Sarah Tilley said. Last semester we had around 20 organizations stay and interview students, many of which were offered jobs on the spot.
The open forum, where students can visit with employers in an informal setting, will be open from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Optional preliminary interviews will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. Interviews will be given per school districts request. Participants must attend the open forum to participate in the afternoon interviews.
The Teacher Job Fair is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to dress professionally and bring resumes and business cards.
