NSU’s opera workshop performs “The Elixir of Love”

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) - The Northeastern State University Department of Musics Opera Workshop presents Gaetano Donizettis The Elixir of Love April 20 and 21. The performance will take place in NSUs Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. each evening.

The Elixir of Love is directed by Dr. Whitney Myers, assistant professor of music, conducted by Dr. James Adams, director of bands, and performed by students from NSUs opera workshop class.

Donizettis production was originally written in Italian, but we will be performing it in English, Myers said. The Elixir of Love is a comic opera, an older version of Love Potion No. 9.

General admission is $10. Student and senior admission is $6.
