Lamont named 2018 NSU Outstanding Graduate Student

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) - Rebecca Lamont, of Kansas, Oklahoma, has been selected as the 2018 Northeastern State University Outstanding Graduate Student.

Lamont is earning a masters of science in nursing: nursing education through NSUs online program. Her capstone project is titled Development of Instructional Materials for an Anatomy and Physiology Course in a Practical Nursing Program. She received a bachelor of science in nursing from NSU in December 2015 and began the masters program in January 2016.

Lamont maintains a 4.0 grade point average and is a member of NSUs Student Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, the National League for Nursing and the Oklahoma Health Careers Education Teachers Association. She also serves as a practical nursing instructor for Northeast Technology Center in Kansas.

Lamont was recognized with the Master of Science in Nursing Academic Achievement Award during the Honors Award Assembly, and during the Ovation Award Ceremony and the Tahlequah Spring Commencement as the Outstanding Graduate Student.
