NSUBA opens Veteran Student Center with ribbon cutting

Published: 2018-11-05

(Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) - Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow will celebrate the opening of its new Veteran Student Center with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the library.

The space will be a study area designated for veterans as recommended by the U.S. Department of Education in the 8 Keys to Veterans Success Sites.

This is a space we've set aside on the NSU-Broken Arrow campus for veterans to study, relax and network, said NSUBA Dean Roy Wood. As a veteran myself, I recognize the importance of providing a location where veterans can meet, share experiences and get information that may be helpful to them in making a successful transition from the military to student and civilian life.

The new space has comfortable furniture, two computers and information on veteran benefits and local veteran organizations.

For more information, contact Wood at 918-449-6100.
