(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) - The Northeastern State University Wind Ensemble is preparing for its first spring concert, Bernstein at 100: A Tribute to Leonard Bernstein, which will celebrate the life, career and music of Leonard Bernstein. This commemoration of Bernsteins 100th birthday will take place March 9 at 7 p.m. in the NSU Center for the Performing Arts.

The concert performance will include the popular Overture to Candide, music from Bernstein's only film score for On The Waterfront and a suite from his timeless Broadway classic West Side Story.

This is definitely a concert not to be missed, NSU Director of Bands James Adams said. The music is exciting, real and suitable for all ages.
