NSU presents the spring 2019 Science and Technology Seminar Series

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) - The spring 2019 Science and Technology Seminar Series at the Northeastern State University Tahlequah campus begins Jan. 30.

Presented by the Gregg Wadley College of Science & Health Professions and arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, professor of biology, the series includes speakers with topics of interest in six areas of study.

Jan. 30- Etiology and pathogenesis of bacterial chondronecrosis with osteomyelitis in broiler chickens presented by Dr. Doug Rhoads, representing the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Arkansas.

Feb. 13- Natural history collections facilitate integrative research and education in the life sciences presented by Dr. Karen McBee, representing the Department of Integrative Biology, Oklahoma State University.

Feb. 27- Novel insights into Sjogrens syndrome revealed through genomic approaches presented by Dr. Kathy Sivils, representing the Arthritis and Immunology Program, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

March 13- How bacteria grow together presented by Dr. Lee Krumholz, representing the Department of Microbiology and Plant Biology, University of Oklahoma.

March 27- How squishy sea creatures can help us understand the early history of nervous system evolution presented by Dr. Nagayasu Nakanishi, representing the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Arkansas.

April 10- My path to science through travels on Earth presented by Christopher Espinosa, representing Northeastern State University.

There is no charge to attend the seminar and the series and events are open to all who wish to attend.

Each one-hour lecture begins at 3 p.m. at the NSU Tahlequah campus in the Science Building, Room 160.
