NSU celebrates 2023 Jack Kaufman winner, Outstanding Senior recipients
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State University has announced its newest group of Outstanding Senior recipients and the 2023 Jack Kaufman Senior of Distinction Award winner.
The NSU Alumni Association oversees the selection of Outstanding Senior winners. To be considered, seniors must be nominated by an NSU faculty or staff member and complete an application detailing their leadership and campus involvement to be reviewed by the alumni association’s board of directors. From there Outstanding Seniors are named based on the positive legacies they have started during their time on campus.
The Jack Kaufman Senior of Distinction recipient is selected from among all the Outstanding Seniors through an interview with the alumni board's selection committee. Named after one of NSU’s most active and influential alumni, the Senior of Distinction award honors an outstanding senior who will continue active engagement and support of the university for years to come.
Brooklyn Neff of Locust Grove was named this year’s Jack Kaufman Senior of Distinction.
“Being selected as the Jack Kaufman Senior of Distinction is a cumulation of all the growth and
opportunities I have experienced at Northeastern State University,” Neff said.
Neff is joined by eight other students as part of this year’s class of Outstanding Seniors.
